# Clear Saga documentation

> Install the tracker, read your dashboard, track what matters to you and connect an AI agent. Every page describes what the product does today.

Clear Saga is web analytics that respects the people who visit your site. By default it counts visits, pages and events without cookies and without storing anything in the browser that could recognise a visitor. One switch per site, off until you turn it on, [remembers returning visitors](/docs/returning-visitors) with a cookie. You add one small script tag to your site and read the numbers in a dashboard.

These pages explain how to set it up and how to read what it shows. They are written for a site owner. The pages for developers say so at the top.

## Start here

Most readers come for one of four things.

- **Install it.** [Quick start](/docs/getting-started) takes you from a new account to the first visit on the dashboard. [Add the tracker](/docs/tracker) explains the tag itself, and the [install guides](/docs/install) show where it goes on your platform.
- **Track what matters.** Count clicks and signups with [custom events](/docs/custom-events), turn them into [conversion goals](/docs/conversion-goals), follow a path of steps with [funnels](/docs/funnels), and tell your [campaigns](/docs/campaigns) apart.
- **Read the dashboard.** [The dashboard](/docs/dashboard) explains every number on the main screen. [Filters and saved segments](/docs/filters-and-segments) show how to narrow those numbers down, and [Realtime](/docs/realtime) shows who is on your site right now.
- **Connect an AI agent.** [Connect an AI agent](/docs/agents) explains tokens and the three ways in: the API, the [MCP server](/docs/mcp) and the [command line](/docs/cli).

## The API reference

Every operation a token can call is listed in the [API reference](/docs/api), with its input, its output and an example. The reference is produced from the same list of operations the API itself runs on, so it always matches what the API does.

## Use these docs with an AI agent

Every page is also available as plain Markdown, which is what an assistant reads best.

- Add `.md` to the address of any page to get its Markdown. This page is at [/docs.md](/docs.md).
- [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) lists every page with a one-line summary.
- [/llms-full.txt](/llms-full.txt) holds all pages in one file.
- The **Copy Page** button at the top of each page copies that page as Markdown. The arrow next to it opens a menu with a link to the Markdown and links that open the page in ChatGPT or Claude.

## What is not finished

Some parts of the product wait for an outside connection, and a few are not built. Email delivery and payment are the two you are most likely to notice. Where a page touches one of these parts, it says so in the sentence where you would expect it. [What works today](/docs/status) lists all of them in one place.
